The forecast prepared by the Opta supercomputer showed which team will become the leader in the new season of the German Championship — the Bundesliga. According to it, Bayern was recognized as the unconditional main contender, and the Munich club firmly took a place among the main favorites on the way to the title.
According to the report, the probability of Bayern winning the championship is 52.9 percent. This figure is the highest among all Bundesliga participants, and no other club has such a chance.
Bayern’s main rival is named as Bayer. The probability of the Leverkusen team becoming the champion is estimated at 16.9%. This indicator once again confirms their stable results in recent years and their strong squad.
In addition, Borussia Dortmund also took a place in the top three favorites. Their probability of ultimate victory is 15.8%. At the same time, the chances of all the other clubs are less than 5 percent.
In the Opta report, the main contenders for getting into the top four were also indicated. According to it, Bayern (91.6%), Bayer (69.5%), Borussia (68%), Eintracht (36.4%), Stuttgart (28.7%) and Leipzig (27.4%) can participate in the upper tier. These numbers show that during the season the main goal of the teams will be not only the championship but also winning spots in European tournaments.
