However, the Uzbek defender sparked widespread discussion for not giving a star like Vinicius Junior a chance.
After this game, Pep Guardiola realized that he could use Abdukodir not only in central defense but also on the right wing if necessary. Khusanov is a great help to the team with his versatility.
At the beginning of the season, after mistakes made by Mateusz Nunes and Rico Lewis, Guardiola handed over the right-wing defense to Khusanov in the Manchester derby.
