Guardiola sarcastically mentioned Arsenal under Mikel Arteta and Liverpool under Arne Slot. In his opinion, if these teams win the championship, it will be primarily due to the fact that they spent a lot of money.
"If my friend Mikel Arteta is a champion, it's not because his team worked hard, but because they spent more money than others. The same can be said about Liverpool. If the Slot maintains the championship, it will be at the expense of large investments. It's not just Manchester City who did this; all clubs do it," Guardiola said.
He noted that in recent years, almost every club has had the opportunity to do what they want. "Only we were treated differently. Other clubs also used every opportunity to acquire the best players and compete at the European level," he added.
At the same time, the coach did not hide his confidence in his team. In his opinion, "City," regardless of financial issues, has proven itself in recent years through hard work, discipline, and consistent results.
