Before the Arsenal-Manchester City super-duel, part of the 5th round of the English Premier League, City's leading players Bernardo Silva and Rodri had a heartfelt conversation with the fans. They commented on last season's heavy 5-1 defeat, noting that this time they could see a completely different City.
Bernardo Silva recalled that night, saying the team was in an extremely fragile state:
"This was a very difficult moment for us. As a result of some mistake, the whole game goes out of order. There was weakness, both psychologically and in our movements on the field. An interesting conversation about the word "revenge" also took place between Silva and Rodri. Although Silva said he disliked the term, Rodri emphasized the importance of the power and morale behind the word.
