Following the Arsenal vs. Manchester City match in the 5th round of the Premier League, head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts at a press conference. Before analyzing the match result, the Spanish coach highlighted his team's workload and difficulties in the last week.
"It's impossible to evaluate this game without taking into account what happened this week. We had very difficult matches, first against Manchester United, and then against Napoli. After that, we came to London and played against a top-level opponent again. I will take off my hat in recognition of my team's resilience in such circumstances," Guardiola said.
In his opinion, the result of the draw in the match was completely logical:
"We made some tactical changes, but Arsenal played better than us today. Nevertheless, the result was better than last season's, as well as last week's match against United. Therefore, today's draw is considered satisfactory for us."
The coach also noted that the number of fatigue and injuries in the team is increasing:
"The game against Napoli was very emotional. Then it's not easy to reach London after 4-5 hours of travel. There's very little time between games, the players are feeling tired. At the same time, several key players were injured, which makes our work even more difficult. And today, Abdukodir Khusanov did not play the full match.
According to Guardiola, the team has a very tight schedule ahead, but City will try to stay strong under any circumstances.
