In the 7th round of the Turkey Super League, Bashakshehir club played an away match against Konyaspor. The competition was pleasant and full of tense moments. However, the hosts managed to maintain their advantage and Konyaspor secured important three points on their home ground.
From the very beginning of the match, fans in the stadium witnessed goals. In the 16th minute, Ndao opened the scoring and put Konyaspor ahead. Near the end of the first half, Bashakshehir defender Opoku scored an own goal, making the score 2-0.
In the second half, Bashakshehir started to play more actively. Uzbekistan national team forward Eldor Shomurodov started in the main lineup and succeeded in reducing the deficit with his precise strike in the 57th minute. This goal was very important not only for Eldor but also for our compatriot playing in the Turkish club.
Additionally, another Uzbek footballer, Abbos Fayzullayev also participated in the match. He came on as a substitute in the 64th minute and tried to strengthen his team’s attacks. However, the hosts maintained a strong defense and did not let the victory slip away.
The match saw intensified moments, injuries, and warnings. Konyaspor player Bardi received two yellow cards in a short time and was sent off in the 65th minute. Despite having to play with one player less, the hosts kept their advantage until the final minutes.
Thus, Bashakshehir, with only one game remaining in reserve, stayed in 11th place with a total of 6 points. Konyaspor increased their points to 10 and rose to 7th place in the league table.
