Following the OKMK vs. Qo'qon-1912 match (0:1) in the 24th round of the Super League, OKMK head coach Mirjalol Qosimov participated in a press conference and shared his thoughts on the match. According to Kasimov, the team really wanted to win, but the mistake at the beginning of the match cost them dearly.
"Every player wants to bring victory to their team, but the mistake in the first half had a huge impact on us. The team tried, but we couldn't score. I congratulate "Qo'qon-1912" on their victory. Today we made a lot of mistakes, and we need to analyze all of them. If we give the team a short break now, then we will return to training. "There are big challenges ahead, our team needs to prepare seriously," said Mirjalol Kasimov.
He also commented on OKMK's unexpected defeat in the last two rounds. "This is how it is in football, we always strive for the best result. In the last match against "Andijan," we conceded a goal in the first half, but in the second half, despite all our advantages, we couldn't score. The same happened with "Kokand-1912." The condition of our field is also very deplorable, this is a problem for us," he said.
Qosimov also touched upon Abror Karimov's performance for Qo'qon-1912. "Abror Karimov belongs to our club. It's understandable that our loaned player tries to gain new opportunities and find playing time. "Abror is always a necessary player for our team, and his contribution to OKMK will be significant in the future," the head coach added.
Kasimov also spoke about the many mistakes made by the goalkeepers of "OKMK" and the reasons for this. "Yes, this year our goalkeepers made big mistakes and there were many of them. We also tried to replace them. In our championship, there are no easy games, every match is very competitive, which affects their morale. Nevertheless, we will continue our work and try to learn from our mistakes."
