Yesterday was a successful day for the delegation of Uzbekistan at the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan. During the day, our athletes won 1 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze medals. This result once again demonstrated the delegation's consistent performance in the games.
Gulshan Alimardonova (karate, -50 kg) won the gold medal. The silver medals went to Samandar Urazaliyev (karate, kata), Nazokat Urinova (women's wrestling, -46 kg), Jasmina Pirmatova (women's wrestling, -50 kg), Muhammad Rakhimjonov (freestyle wrestling, -45 kg) and Asadbek Erkinjonov (freestyle wrestling, -92 kg).
Bronze medals were awarded to: Begzod Ismailov (boxing, -52 kg), Shokhrukh Yakubov (freestyle wrestling, -51 kg), Khudoyberdi Turgunov (freestyle wrestling, -60 kg), Durdona Turakulova (karate, kata), Sevinch Rakhimova (karate, -55 kg), Mekhriddin Turakhonov (karate, -60 kg), Abdulvakhob Rashidov (karate, -67 kg) and Marvarid Zuvaydulloyeva (fencing, épée).
With these results, the delegation of Uzbekistan once again demonstrated its sports potential at the CIS Games and gave hope for high results in future competitions.
