Uzbek judokas finished the World Championship in the top 10

The World Youth Championship singles competition, held in Lima, Peru, has come to an end. On the last working day of the competition, the winners and prize-winners in the heavyweight categories were determined, and, fortunately, three of our young men and women took the podium.
In the +78 kg weight category, Umida Nigmatova surpassed all her rivals and reached the final, winning the silver medal. In the men's competition, Alisher Samanov in the -90 kg category and Muhammadali Zoirov in the -100 kg category showed great enthusiasm and enriched our team's collection with two bronze medals.
Thus, the Uzbekistan youth national team finished the competition with 1 silver and 5 bronze medals, taking 10th place among 65 countries.
Japan took first place with 5 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals, the top three also included Brazil and the IJF team.
