Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke candidly in a recent interview about his personal life and his children. According to him, being the child of a famous father is never easy.
“Their father is a man who wrote history. Of course, it’s hard for them because people already judge them through me. That’s why I advised them not to play football, but life took another turn — they still chose football (laughs),” said Zlatan.
The famous footballer also revealed that he decided to give his children their mother’s surname. He explained that this decision was made to protect them from public pressure and excessive attention.
“I want to see them as free individuals who choose their own path. They should earn respect not through my name, but through their own hard work,” he said.
Fans reacted differently to his statement, but many saw it as a sign of maturity and deep respect for his children’s independence.
It should be noted that Ibrahimovic played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs — Barcelona, Milan, Inter, and PSG. He won the Serie A title five times, the Ligue 1 title four times, and also triumphed in La Liga and the Europa League.
Although Zlatan has retired, his name remains synonymous with charisma, dedication, and confidence in football.
