In the first match of the 10th round of the Spanish Championship, Real Sociedad hosted Sevilla at their home ground and secured a crucial victory for the fans. The match was as intense and dramatic as expected - the match at the "Real Arena" ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the San Sebastians.
Head coach Imanol Alguasil's team chose an attacking style from the very beginning of the game and soon began to create goal opportunities. By the 19th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring with a penalty - he deflected the opponent's goalkeeper Vlahodimos with a precise shot.
However, Sevilla did not go unanswered. Serbian midfielder Nemanja Gudelj brought his team back into action in the 30th minute. He directed a corner kick into Remiro's net with a precise shot - 1:1.
However, Real Sociedad soon took the lead again. In the 36th minute, Oyarzabal again stepped into the center of the stage - he completed the team's quick attack with a goal, registering a brace.
In the second half, Sevilla attempted to equalize, launching several dangerous attacks. However, Sociedad's defense played confidently. Goalkeeper Remiro saved his team several times, in particular, he saved dangerous shots from Vargas and Alexis Sanchez.
