
Another piece of good news for boxing fans of Uzbekistan is that the national teams of our country are on the verge of participating in another major tournament. From November 14-21, the Indian capital, New Delhi, will host the final ceremony of the World Boxing Organization Cup. According to the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, our compatriots will compete in full in both men's and women's competitions.
This competition is of great importance not only for ranking, but also from the point of view of testing new talents, further strengthening the team's potential, and gaining further experience in the international arena. Therefore, our young and experienced leather glove makers are heading to the rings of New Delhi with maximum preparation.
The men's team is stronger this time as well. Asilbek Jalilov in the -50 kg weight category, Samandar Olimov in the -55 kg category, and experienced Dilshod Abdumurodov in the -60 kg category will enter the ring. In addition to them, Adham Mukhiddinov in the -65 kg weight category, Mukhammadazizbek Ismailov in the -70 kg weight category, and Javokhir Abdurahimov in the -75 kg weight category will support the team. In addition, we have such famous boxers as Jasurbek Yuldashev in the -85 kg category, Nusratbek Tokhirov in the -90 kg category, and Halimjon Mamasoliyev in the +90 kg category.
Experienced specialists from the coaching staff - Rahmatjon Ro'ziohunov, Alimardon Dostanov, Botir Mahmudov, and Ozod Hasanov - are meticulously preparing the team for the final.
The women's team is also ready to demonstrate its potential. Farzona Fozilova will compete in the -48 kg category, Gulsevar Ganieva in the -51 kg category, Nigina Uktamova in the -54 kg category, and Sitora Turdibekova in the -57 kg category. Aziza Zakirova in the -70 kg category and Oltinoy Sotimboyeva in the heavyweight category (+81 kg) will also enter the ring.
The women's national team is headed by a team of coaches consisting of Elshod Rasulov, Barbaro Fernandez Jimenez, Azim Khudaykulov, and Istam Kabinov.
Mirzokhid Numanov, doctor Komiljon Rasulov, and physiotherapist Jesus Alberto will work as team managers in the competition. Moreover, the participation of Maruf Urdushev as the referee, representing our country, is a unique achievement.
These cup competitions in New Delhi are another important test for our boxers, an opportunity to assess the potential of the national team. And the fans expect worthy participation and beautiful victories from our compatriots in the next fights.
