The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, commented on the possibility of signing a new contract with national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti. "Ancelotti said everything depends on mutual agreement between the parties.

The current contract between Ancelotti and the Brazilian national team is set to expire at the end of the 2026 World Cup. The parties have the possibility of extending their cooperation until 2030.
