Main Contender for Ballon d'Or Announced


Journalists from the reputable portal Goal have announced the rankings of favorites for the 2026 Ballon d'Or award. At the top of the list is Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.

He has managed to score 24 goals in 19 matches this season. The second spot was taken by Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappé.

Mbappé has scored 22 goals in 18 games. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland rounded out the top three.

The Norwegian player has scored 19 goals in 17 matches during the season. Additionally, the top ten includes Declan Rice, Lamine Yamal, Vitinha, Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, Estevão, and Achraf Hakimi.

It should be noted that the 2025 Ballon d'Or was awarded to PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé.
