The 12th round of the German Bundesliga began with a match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and RB Leipzig. The offensive efforts of both teams, especially in the first half, were not particularly effective.
There were no shots on target before halftime. Early in the second half, Borussia striker Frank Honorat’s goal was disallowed by the VAR system due to an offside.
Additionally, the video assistant referee overturned a penalty awarded to the home side. In the second half, RB Leipzig's players gained dominance and intensified their attacks, but they failed to score.
The game ended in a goalless draw, with the score remaining 0-0. This result allowed RB Leipzig to maintain second place in the standings, five points behind Bayern Munich.
Bayern has the opportunity to extend their lead on Saturday. Meanwhile, Borussia, after three consecutive wins, dropped points and is currently in 11th place.
