Simon Kjaer Recalls Dangerous Incident in Turkey

Danish defender Simon Kjær played for Turkey's "Fenerbahçe" team during the period between 2015 and 2017. In an interview, he mentioned experiencing one of the most terrifying events of his football career while in Turkey.

"Certainly, one of the biggest shocks in my life was the incident involving Eriksen at the European Championship. But, in Turkey, there was one occasion when fans stormed the pitch and tried to attack players and referees.

At that moment, I saw them running, and I understood that I needed to run faster," Kjær said in an interview with pianetamilan.it. It should be noted that Simon Kjær has played 132 matches for the Denmark national team, a record in the team's history.
