The Argentine club "River Plate" is delivering disappointing results to its fans. According to DiarioOle, this team has lost four consecutive home matches for the first time since 1926.
Additionally, "River Plate" has suffered eight defeats in its last 10 games. Currently, the team is in 6th place in one of the groups of the country's championship (Clausura stage) after 14 rounds.
In September, the team managed by Marcelo Gallardo was eliminated from the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. In October, they also lost the chance to reach the final of the Argentina Cup to the "Independiente Rivadavia" team.
According to experts, some players in the squad are aging. Furthermore, injuries and transfer mistakes have negatively impacted the team's performance.
The head coach, however, is not sufficiently trusting academy graduates and is continuously experimenting with the squad and tactics.
