Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov might get a chance to play for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for the first time this season. According to RMC Sport, the team's main goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier, did not participate in today's team training.
The reason for this is that Chevalier sustained an ankle injury during the match against AS Monaco. PSG's next game is scheduled for December 6, against Stade Rennais.
Considering Chevalier's current condition, there is a high likelihood that Safonov could make an appearance in this Ligue 1 Round 15 match. Although Safonov joined the French team in the summer of 2024, the coaching staff has exclusively relied on Chevalier so far, leaving the Russian goalkeeper without any match experience this season.
