Modric: I Used to Support Milan

Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has shared his thoughts on his transfer from Spain's Real Madrid to Italy's AC Milan. He stated that he does not consider it a step backward, though he acknowledges that it might appear that way.

"Naturally, leaving Real Madrid and moving elsewhere is a step backward. Any footballer would confirm that.

However, I joined a club that stands comparable to Real's history. For me, under the circumstances of leaving Real, this was the best scenario.

I grew up with Italian football and have been a fan of AC Milan," Modric said in comments reported by pianetamilan.it. It should be noted that AC Milan currently leads the Serie A standings.
