Mostovoy Highlights Strong Groups in 2026 World Cup

Former Russian national team footballer Aleksandr Mostovoy shared his thoughts on the results of the group stage draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. "The group with France, Senegal, Norway (with Haaland), and the playoff winner looks the strongest to me.

The remaining groups are relatively balanced in strength, but this group stands out from the rest," Mostovoy said in an interview with "Match TV." Additionally, the expert highlighted the group featuring the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia as noteworthy.

In his opinion, 2–3 strong groups can be identified in the championship. The FIFA World Cup 2026 will commence on June 11 and will run until July 19.

For the first time in the tournament's history, 48 national teams will participate. The current champions are the Argentina national team.
