Real Madrid Identifies Candidates to Replace Alonso


Real Madrid may part ways with head coach Xabi Alonso during the season, according to a report by Cadena Ser.

According to the source, the "Royal Club" is considering two candidates for the managerial role, though their names have not yet been disclosed. However, former head coach Zinedine Zidane is not among the options.

Zidane is currently focused on managing the French national team and is expected to succeed Didier Deschamps after the 2026 World Cup. Real Madrid is facing challenges this season.

In their last five matches in La Liga, the team has recorded only one victory. Xabi Alonso's side is currently in second place in the La Liga standings, trailing leaders Barcelona by four points.
