Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti shared his thoughts on Xabi Alonso's unexpected dismissal. He believes that a "very serious and major" conflict in the dressing room was the reason for the coach's quick departure from the Santiago Bernabéu. Guti analyzed Florentino Pérez's decision on the show "Bajo los palos," where he appeared alongside Iker Casillas. "Xabi Alonso was not a five-month or one-year project; he was part of long-term plans. Knowing Florentino Pérez well, I can say that he does not make such decisions unless something serious happened inside. I think strange things were happening in the dressing room," Guti said.
The former player also criticized the team's current state. According to him, the Real Madrid squad lacks balance and team spirit. Guti emphasized that the team's play has become overly dependent on the individual brilliance of stars like Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé.
Guti added that the changing atmosphere in the dressing room and the lack of local players are negatively affecting team cohesion. In his opinion, forming a solid group with stars from all over the world has become more difficult than before. Currently, the club is busy searching for a new coach and preparing for the presidential elections on June 7.
