The president of Inter Milan, Giuseppe Marotta, described his team's 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League as unjust. Marotta emphasized that the Milan club had played at the same level as their opponent and did not miss crucial opportunities during key moments of the game.
According to him, the result should not demoralize the team but rather provide additional motivation for the upcoming matches. Inter is set to first face Genoa in the Italian league, followed by matches in European competitions against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
"This defeat left us with great disappointment because it was unjust. However, it should give us extra energy," Marotta said in an interview with Sky Sports.
He also reminded that football often delivers unexpected outcomes and that victory does not always favor the stronger team. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
