Joao Mario May Leave in January as He Falls Out of Spalletti's Plans


Juventus' right-back Joao Mario is considering leaving the club during the winter transfer window. The Bianconeri added the Portuguese player to their squad just six months ago, but the team's new head coach, Luciano Spalletti, does not plan to rely on him.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the 25-year-old full-back wants more playing time and may transfer to another team as early as January. This season, Joao Mario has made 11 appearances and contributed one assist.

As per Transfermarkt, the former Porto player's market value is €10 million. His contract with Juventus is valid until 2030.
