Upamecano Seeks Release Clause in New Bayern Munich Contract

Negotiations are ongoing between French central defender Dayot Upamecano and Bayern Munich regarding the extension of his contract. According to journalist Philipp Kessler, the player's agents are pushing to include a €65 million release clause in the new deal.

This clause is reportedly planned to take effect starting in 2028. Additionally, it was previously noted that Upamecano is demanding a significant bonus as part of the new contract terms.

Despite the numerous demands, Bayern's management remains optimistic about reaching a positive outcome in the negotiations and expresses confidence that an agreement will be finalized. The 27-year-old defender's current contract is set to expire next summer.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid has reportedly shown serious interest in acquiring the player.
