
Negotiations are ongoing between French central defender Dayot Upamecano and Bayern Munich regarding the extension of his contract. According to journalist Philipp Kessler, the player's agents are pushing to include a €65 million release clause in the new deal.
This clause is reportedly planned to take effect starting in 2028. Additionally, it was previously noted that Upamecano is demanding a significant bonus as part of the new contract terms.
Despite the numerous demands, Bayern's management remains optimistic about reaching a positive outcome in the negotiations and expresses confidence that an agreement will be finalized. The 27-year-old defender's current contract is set to expire next summer.
