Vitaliy Denisov Praises Safonov's Performance


Former "Lokomotiv" football player Vitaliy Denisov shared his thoughts on PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's performance in the match against "Flamengo." According to Denisov, such a display has earned Safonov the confidence of the coaching staff.

“Matvey showcased himself: he waited for his opportunity and made the most of it. He worked seriously enough for the club to secure the trophy,” Denisov's words were quoted by “Sovetsky Sport.”

This season, Safonov has appeared in four matches for the French club. In two of them, he kept a clean sheet.

Due to a hand injury, the goalkeeper is expected to be sidelined for approximately 3–4 weeks.
