Italian Super Cup may be held in the United States next season

The next edition of the Italian Super Cup could be held in the United States, according to a report by *La Repubblica*.

The source indicates that Saudi Arabia will not host the tournament as it is occupied with organizing the Asian Cup. A final decision will be made during a spring vote, in which all 20 clubs from Serie A will participate.

In addition to locations in Florida and other southern U.S. states, hosting options in European countries are also being considered. Furthermore, it is expected that the tournament format might return to the traditional match between the league champion and the cup winner.

The current holder of the trophy is Napoli, who defeated Bologna 2-0 in the final on December 22.
