Argentina comments on friendly match with Russia

Representatives of the Argentine Football Association commented on the possibility of organizing a friendly match with the Russian national team. "Our schedule for next year is very tight, so as of now, such a game is not in our plans. However, theoretically, it could happen in the future," stated the source, as quoted by "VseProSport."

The association emphasized that the team’s workload is exceptionally high in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is worth noting that the Russian national team has been barred from participating in international competitions following a joint decision by FIFA and UEFA.

The ban has been in effect since February 2022. In their last friendly match, Valery Karpin’s team lost 0-2 to Chile.
