Barcelona continues to explore options to strengthen its central defense during the winter transfer window. The Blaugrana are hoping to find a suitable new player at an affordable price.
According to Diario SPORT, the La Liga giant has turned its attention to Diogo Leite, who currently plays for Union Berlin. The Portuguese defender meets their requirements and could be transferred in January.
On January 23, Diogo Leite will turn 27 years old. His contract with Union Berlin is set to expire at the end of the current season.
Transfermarkt specialists have valued the player at €12 million. Leite has been called up twice to the Portuguese national team but has yet to make his debut for the squad.
