Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick reflected on the results of the concluding year and shared his expectations for the upcoming year. In 2025, the "blaugrana" claimed victories in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup, as well as making it to the Champions League semifinals for the first time in a long while.
"This has been a remarkable and highly successful year for me, the coaching staff, the club, and the fans. The experiences I’ve had here are simply incredible.
I feel extremely fortunate. However, all these achievements are in the past — we must continue working hard to achieve more success by the end of the current season.
In 2026, we have great goals ahead. Our previous accomplishments have been outstanding, but we must strive forward.
That is exactly what we are focusing on," Flick was quoted as saying by Managing Barca. Barcelona’s first match of the new year will take place on January 3 in an away derby against Espanyol.
