AC Milan attempted to secure the transfer of Corinthians goalkeeper Hugo Souza. However, the Brazilian club refused to let the 26-year-old player join the "Rossoneri," insider Matteo Moretto reports.
Additionally, the goalkeeper himself showed no interest, preferring to stay in his home country at least until the summer as he aims to secure a spot in the national squad for the upcoming World Cup. According to Transfermarkt experts, Hugo Souza's value is estimated at €10 million.
Souza's current contract with Corinthians runs until the end of 2028. In October, he made his debut for the Brazilian national team in a friendly match against Japan, which so far remains his only appearance for the "Pentacampeões."
