"Barcelona" and "Real" players compete for La Liga Player of the Month award
The nominees for La Liga’s Player of the Month award for December have been announced. Competing for the accolade are Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé, Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke, Celta Vigo goalkeeper Ionut Radu, and Elche winger Germán Valera.

Currently, Barcelona leads the Spanish championship standings and sits four points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. The next round of matches is scheduled to take place from January 2 to January 4 in the new year.

In November, Lamine Yamal was named Player of the Month, while Kylian Mbappé won the award in both October and September. In August, the accolade went to Villarreal’s Nicolas Pépé.
