On Saturday, Juventus travelled to Serie A newcomers Pisa. The Turin side created plenty of chances throughout the match, but in the decisive moment the hosts scored an own goal. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
Early on, after a ball was delivered from the right flank, Khephren Thuram struck from mid-range and the ball hit a defender’s head. Kenan Yildiz tried to finish the rebound, but was just short of accuracy when aiming for the far corner. Late in the first half, Idrissa Toure broke through on the right and nearly created a chance for Matteo Tramoni, but he was a fraction away from reaching the ball inside the box. Pisa threatened from a corner as well — Stefano Moreo’s header rattled the crossbar.
In the second half, the hosts went close again: Leri Mehdi swung in a cross from the right and Tramoni headed it unchallenged, but the ball struck the right post. Juventus responded sharply too — Lloyd Kelly, from the right side of the penalty area, aimed for the near post and the ball hit the woodwork again. The opener came in the 73rd minute: Weston McKennie played a low pass from the right toward Pierre Kalulu, and Arturo Calabresi slid in to stop it, but a sequence of deflections ended in Pisa’s net — 0–1. In the 90th minute, the visitors finished a move clinically: Fabio Miretti squared left inside the box, David left the ball for Yildiz to shoot, and Kenan made it 0–2.
With this win, Juventus share second place with Milan and trail leaders Inter by just one point. Pisa sit second from bottom in the table.
