Russia national team coach Nikolay Pisarov responded to rumors of a “conspiracy” circulating around CSKA. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The talk intensified after the national team’s latest camp: some viewed Valery Karpin giving more chances to CSKA players in the second friendly with suspicion. Such matches are usually played just days before the league resumes.
“I laughed. The point is when the players last played for their club. In the first match it makes sense to use more of those who played on Saturday, not those who played on Sunday,” Pisarov told Championat.
As a reminder, in November friendlies Russia drew 1–1 with Peru and lost 0–2 to Chile.
