Dozens of fans detained near the Eiffel Tower amid PSG victories

The outgoing year has been extremely successful for PSG: the Paris club won a total of six trophies over the season. The latest triumph was the Intercontinental Cup, linked to the standout performances of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

To celebrate these achievements, a group of French citizens gathered around the Eiffel Tower last Saturday and showed a festive mood by using fireworks and other pyrotechnics. As a result, a large portion of those gathered were detained by the police.

After checks and explanations, most participants were released, as they were not deemed serious lawbreakers. However, according to RMC Sport, 12 people will still face liability, including two minors.
