
Espanyol said it will introduce additional security measures at the stadium during the match against Barcelona. This was reported by euro-football.ru,reports.
The match will take place on January 3. The club stated that protective nets will be installed behind both goals. The decision was made to prevent the possible throwing of foreign objects toward Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia. For the keeper, this will be his first match against Espanyol since his summer transfer.
Checks at the arena entrances will also be tightened. The restrictions will apply, in particular, to large bags and backpacks. Espanyol specifically подчеркнул that spectators arriving with Barcelona merchandise will not be admitted to the stadium.
According to the club’s statement, access to the stands will be denied to individuals wearing clothing or displaying signs featuring the visiting team’s symbols.
