According to journalist Fernando Polo, Goretzka recently wrote a letter to Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick, saying he would be happy to work under his compatriot again after the current season ends. However, how interested the Catalan coach and the club’s management are in this option has not yet been disclosed.

Goretzka and Flick previously worked together at Bayern and with the Germany national team. Transfermarkt values Leon’s market price at €15 million.
