Transfermarkt has published an up-to-date ranking of the world’s most valuable midfielders. At the top is Real Madrid’s English star Jude Bellingham — the 22-year-old is valued at €160 million.
Second place went to Barcelona midfielder Pedri. The 23-year-old Spaniard’s transfer value is €140 million. Third is Bayern’s 22-year-old leader Jamal Musiala — €130 million.
Interestingly, the next spots in the ranking are also filled with big-money names. A trio valued at €120 million sits there:
- Cole Palmer (Chelsea) — €120 million
- Declan Rice (Arsenal) — €120 million
- Federico Valverde (Real Madrid) — €120 million
It is worth noting that earlier Transfermarkt also named Gianluigi Donnarumma as the most valuable goalkeeper.
In short, midfielders — the “brains” of the pitch — have become the most expensive heroes on the football market. Bellingham, Pedri, Musiala: these names are set to delight fans for years to come.
