Milan close to signing new contract with Maignan

Milan have made significant progress in extending the contract of French goalkeeper Mike Maignan. According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the club’s management is very close to finalising the talks, which have dragged on for several months, and putting pen to paper. According to the source, Maignan’s new deal will run until 30 June 2029. Under the contract, the player’s salary could be €6 million per year plus bonuses, and an option to extend the agreement until 2030 may also be included. Allegri and Tare see the goalkeeper as one of the team’s key pillars.
