Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner refused to disclose details about a potential transfer of Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson at a press conference ahead of the match against Fulham. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
Earlier, the media reported that the “Eagles” and the “Spurs” were close to a €40 million agreement for Johnson, but the player himself had not yet made a final decision about his future.
According to Glasner, the next month in the football market will be very hectic as usual: he has often seen deals collapse when it seemed the player was almost at the club, or a player leave when everyone thought he would stay.
The coach stressed that any statement he makes can become outdated within two days, which is why he does not want to discuss the topic publicly.
Johnson was Tottenham’s top scorer in the 2024/25 season and scored the decisive goal in the Europa League final against Manchester United. However, this season he feels he is not getting enough minutes on the pitch.
