Sevilla academy graduate Sergio Ramos has expressed his intention to buy the club where he began his career. The experienced defender played for Sevilla’s first team in the 2004–2005 season and again in 2023/24. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
According to Carrusel Deportivo and El Larguero, the 39-year-old footballer has already submitted an official offer to the club to purchase Sevilla. Reports say Ramos is leading a group of investors ready to make a major investment, and their bid could be higher than all previous proposals.
As Sevilla have been facing financial difficulties for several years, selling the club is being viewed by the management as a logical option.
After 17 La Liga matchdays, Sevilla sit 10th in the standings with 20 points.
