Ignatyev names the best Russian footballer of 2025

Former Russia national team coach Boris Ignatyev has named the best Russian footballer based on the results of 2025. In his view, the award should go to midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, who plays for Monaco in the French league. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

Ignatyev noted that Golovin has already fully adapted to European football. According to the expert, he is performing consistently for a strong team and directly influences Monaco’s results.

This season, Golovin has made 15 appearances at club level, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. After 16 rounds, Monaco sit 9th in the standings with 23 points, 14 points behind leaders Lens.
