In Serie A Round 18, Milan played away against Cagliari. Throughout the match, the Rossoneri failed to establish a clear advantage, with the game largely evenly contested. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
The key chances came in the opening minutes of each half. First, Cagliari’s Matteo Prati collected the ball and fired at goal, but his shot went wide of the post. Soon after, Marco Palestra burst into the box and struck toward the far corner, but the ball missed the target.
In the 50th minute of the second half, Milan scored: Adrien Rabiot entered the box from the right and squared it to Rafael Leao. Despite slipping, the Portuguese forward unleashed a powerful shot into the near corner, and the goalkeeper couldn’t save it — 0:1.
In the following episodes, Davide Bartezaghi curled a free kick toward the far corner, but the goalkeeper tipped it away with a leap. Late on, Christian Pulisic aimed for the near post after a pass from Samuele Ricci — the keeper pushed the ball out of play.
In the end, Milan won by the narrowest margin, moved ahead of Inter and took top spot in the standings. Cagliari remained in 14th place.
