In Serie A, Milan look confident in matches against direct rivals, but it has become noticeable that they unexpectedly drop points against weaker teams. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
This was stated by former Zenit striker Aleksey Gasilin. He noted that such a pattern resembles the style typical of teams coached by Massimiliano Allegri.
According to Gasilin, Milan held on to a win in their latest match, and before that drew with Parma and Pisa. “This season they play well against competitors, but against lower-ranked teams they concede goals in the final minutes,” he said on Match TV.
The former footballer added that a similar situation was often seen at Juventus during Allegri’s tenure as well.
After a 1–0 win over Cagliari, Milan temporarily moved to the top of the Serie A standings.
