Turin’s Juventus failed to beat Lecce at home in Serie A Round 18, with the match ending 1–1. It was the first time since 2012 that the “Old Lady” went winless at home against Lecce. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
Head coach Luciano Spalletti linked the main reason for the draw to the final phase of attacking play. He noted that although the ball was delivered into the opponent’s penalty area frequently, there was a lack of accuracy and quality in the last meters, and no player was able to properly finish a shot or provide the decisive pass. Still, Spalletti also pointed out that Juventus looked stronger in many aspects of the game.
As a reminder, Juventus last won the Italian league title in 2020.
