The world’s most profitable sports clubs: Dallas Cowboys lead

Forbes magazine has released its latest ranking of the 20 most profitable sports clubs in the world. The ranking was compiled to identify top-tier teams by taking into account clubs’ operating profit (interest, taxes, depreciation, and other income).
The No. 1 spot went to NFL club the Dallas Cowboys, known for their financial success and massive brand power. NBA side the Golden State Warriors climbed to second place, with their global popularity and interest in their championship runs strengthening their position. Third place was taken by NHL club the Edmonton Oilers, whose worldwide audience and accolades have influenced their financial results.
Among European football teams, Manchester United ranked highest, taking 11th place. Tottenham came 12th, while Arsenal placed 17th. Each team in the ranking sparked major discussion in its field and further intensified competition.
The ranking is based on financial results for the NFL in 2024, the NBA and NHL in the 2024/25 season, and European football clubs in the 2023/24 season, once again highlighting the global business and financial strength of sports clubs.
