Turin-based Juventus are showing interest in Celta right-back Óscar Mingueza. According to Yahoo Sports, the Spanish player’s current contract runs until the end of the 2025/26 season. This is reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
The Bianconeri aim to strengthen their defensive line and are prioritising players who can operate in multiple positions. Mingueza, a Barcelona academy graduate, is seen as exactly that kind of versatile option.
According to the source, Mingueza could become a free agent on 30 June. Celta are trying to agree a new deal with him, but the parties have not yet reached a final agreement. Juventus believe they could sign the player as early as January, but Celta are not particularly ready for such a move: if a transfer happens, half of the proceeds would have to go to Barcelona.
Transfermarkt values Mingueza at €14 million. The 26-year-old defender has scored 1 goal, provided 3 assists and received 2 yellow cards in 21 matches this season.
