Italian goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani commented on Milan’s last two draws: the team first shared the points with Genoa and then with Fiorentina. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Marchegiani, the congested schedule is having a serious impact: the previous match was played on Thursday, the next is set for Sunday afternoon, and the break between them is not even three full days. He stressed that such a short period is not enough for proper preparation.
Marchegiani also said that Milan struggle against smaller teams because they are forced to constantly take the initiative, control the ball more and create chances. Against stronger opponents, the Rossoneri can sometimes cede possession and play in a more defensive style, and that model suits them better.
Milan are currently second in the league table.
