Barcelona officially announced on Tuesday that it had signed João Cancelo on loan from Al Hilal, but shortly afterwards the news disappeared both from the club’s website and from the Blaugrana’s social media. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans removed the news temporarily because the transfer process has not yet been completed. Barcelona still needs to fully finalize the exchange of documents with Al Hilal.
Barcelona are bringing in the 31-year-old Cancelo on loan until the summer. The Portuguese player also featured for Barcelona on loan in the 2023/2024 season, making 42 appearances.
Barcelona’s next match will be on Thursday, January 15, away against Racing. The game will be played in the Spanish Cup round of 16.
