Michael Carrick has started work at Manchester United as interim head coach until the end of the season. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The English specialist replaced Ruben Amorim, who was dismissed earlier this month. According to The Athletic, the club set Carrick and his staff a clear target — to qualify the team for the UEFA Champions League. This is the main objective for the Red Devils this season.

Carrick’s deal runs until the summer. At the moment, Manchester United sit 7th in the Premier League table, but they are only three points behind Liverpool in 4th place.
